Norah Dee-1 month old

Well this post is a week overdue, but our little miss has already reached the one month mark. Wow, that was a total blur. She weighs 10 lbs 4 oz and is just growing away. I love her beautiful blue eyes that come from neither John nor I and her sweet cherub lips the most. She is quite a feisty little one and has a piercingly loud cry that lets you know she wanted your attention like 2 minutes ago thank you very much! It already feels like shes been part of our family forever. And yes, I absolutely cannot wait for the day when shes sleeping through the night. Although I have grown quite fond of Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. It aires from 12-1am and then repeats from 3-4am, if you're wondering..which you're probably not.

Just because...

This morning as I was getting Eli dressed for church, I had to catch my breath at how grown up he looked in his Sunday best. I was again reminded of the quote from the movie Finding Neverland that seems to replay in my head every morning when I see his sweet, sleepy-eyed little face.
"Young boys should never be put to bed because they always wake up one day older"
And could that be any truer?

Psalms 127:3-5 "Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate."
